Bonnie M. DeSalle
Legal Assistant (J.D. Graduate)
Professional Bio
Bonnie M. DeSalle is a J.D. Graduate at Daniel Ogbeide Law, PLLC, where she supports attorneys in the firm’s family law practice while continuing to build her legal career and prepare for licensure in Texas. A native of New Orleans and a current resident of Sugar Land, Texas, Ms. DeSalle brings a strong commitment to client service, a diverse background in advocacy, and a passion for working with individuals and families navigating challenging legal circumstances.
Ms. DeSalle’s experience reflects a consistent dedication to service, leadership, and community impact. She has worked across a variety of legal and public service environments, including property casualty and personal injury law firms, where she gained experience supporting clients during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. Her approach to legal work is grounded in empathy, professionalism, and a people-centered perspective that prioritizes client care and thoughtful communication.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, Ms. DeSalle has been deeply involved in advocacy and youth-focused initiatives. She served as an investigative intern at Georgetown Law Center and, during her time in Washington, D.C., worked as a youth counselor to juvenile offenders through the ASK Program, where she received the “Most Likely to Have a Huge Impact in the Lives of Youth in the Juvenile Justice System” award. Her commitment to youth development continued through her work with AmeriCorps as a Public Ally with Public Allies of Silicon Valley, where she helped students develop leadership skills within their schools.
Ms. DeSalle has also demonstrated a strong commitment to international and community service. As a volunteer with Volunteers in Asia (VIA), she taught English to children and adults in Bali, Indonesia, and worked with the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (LBH Bali), gaining valuable cross-cultural and legal exposure. Upon returning to the United States, she continued her advocacy work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in New Orleans and volunteered with the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana, further strengthening her experience in child advocacy and support services.
In addition to her volunteer work, Ms. DeSalle has taken on leadership roles aimed at expanding access to legal education and support. She collaborated with the Louisiana State Bar Association to develop the “Setting the Bar Pre-Law Conference,” an initiative designed to help minority students successfully navigate the law school admissions process. She also served on the Junior Board of Boys Hope Girls Hope and worked as an Academic Success Coach and mentor to youth transitioning out of foster care. Further demonstrating her leadership and commitment to service, she co-founded Project 18, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth impacted by the foster care system, particularly those aging out at 18.
Ms. DeSalle earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she actively participated in the Council for Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) programs and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. During law school, she gained practical legal experience as a law clerk with Juvenile Regional Services in New Orleans. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a concentration in Crime, Law, and Social Control, from Loyola University New Orleans, and was a visiting student at Stanford University.
Ms. DeSalle plans to sit for the Texas Bar Examination and continue her legal career in Texas. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys exploring new experiences, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her husband.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAYS

He’s an awesome defender and he tells it like it is. So don’t waste your time with someone else.

He made sure everything was completed right away and promptly sent over the decree and related documents. The entire interaction was straightforward, respectful, and didn’t take long at all. I genuinely appreciated how smoothly the process went and how seriously he treated my request.
Based on my experience, I would absolutely recommend him for his professionalism, responsiveness, and efficiency.

What impressed me most was that she was not afraid to go to trial if needed—a rare quality, as many attorneys try to avoid it. Even though we ultimately resolved the matter in mediation, she made me feel fully supported and truly heard every step of the way.
Meridith and Daniel together were excellent. They clearly operate with the highest respect for the law and an unwavering commitment to their clients. After working with them, I can honestly say I would never hire another attorney. I cannot recommend Meridith enough to anyone seeking representation rooted in professionalism, compassion, and true integrity.

Unlike other attorneys I’ve encountered, Mr. Ogbeide doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He laid out the realities of Texas law, the possible outcomes I might face, and helped me prepare for each step of the process. He is incredibly patient, communicative, and always present. He doesn’t just treat you like a case number, he speaks to you like a real person, with genuine care and legal guidance that makes you feel supported and seen.
Even though my case is still ongoing, I couldn’t wait to express how much I appreciate his integrity and dedication. If you’re looking for an attorney who will fight for you, TELL YOU THE TRUTH, and stand by your side with both legal expertise and compassion, I highly recommend Mr. Ogbeide and his team.
Once my case is done, I will be back again to give an update

Keep up the good work saving families and individuals who find themselves in tough situations like mine

I am withholding a 5th star for initial challenges with junior lawyer that was quickly recognized and resolved.
I will recommend you for future services.
